2007 Corton Charlemagne 1/2, Bouchard (pre-arrival), 375 ml - 59.99

96 points Burghound: "A cool, airy, complex and gorgeously elegant nose is more restrained than these Puligny-based grands crus while offering up notes of green apple, pain grillé, stone and very subtle spice notes that merge into rich, full and impressively powerful flavors that possess perhaps the best dry extract levels of any wine in the range as they really stain the palate on the intense, long and bone dry finish that seems to have no end. There isn?t quite as much overall depth here as in the Montrachet but otherwise, this succeeds in going to toe to toe, which is not small feat given how good the prior wine is. 96/2019+"

2007 Meursault Perrieres, Bouchard (pre-arrival), 750 ml - 69.99

94 points Burghound: "A less expressive but even more complex nose features acacia blossom, pear and citrus aromas nuanced by an almost pungent minerality that continues onto the pure, detailed and almost painfully intense flavors that possess serious delineation on the notably ripe and sappy finish. I was knocked out by this textbook Perrières. Highly recommended. 94/2015+"

2007 Chablis Montee de Tonnerre, Fevre (pre-arrival), 750 ml - 42.99

91-93 points Tanzer: "Pale color. Very pure aromas of lemon, mint and crushed stone. Intensely flavored, minerally and elegant; offers terrific cut and yet the overall impression is silky and seamless. This really spreads out on the very subtle aftertaste, with the wine's acidity extending the impression of minerality and citric perfume. The acidity here is a firm 4.8 grams per liter."

2007 Chablis Clos, Domaine Christian Moreau (pre-arrival), 750 ml - 45.00

93 points Burghound: "This is perhaps the most aromatically elegant wine in the range today with its airy, pure and layered nose of white flower, lemon peel, hint of wood spice, white peach and oyster shell nuances that seem even stronger on the impressively scaled broad-shouldered flavors that possess a beguiling texture as well as an almost painfully intense, palate staining finish that is bone dry. In a word, gorgeous."

2000 Batard Montrachet, Sauzet (pre-arrival), 750 ML - 175.00

93(+?) Tanzer: "Explosive aromas of roasted nuts and menthol; very Batard. Huge, sweet and opulent; very ripe and expressive but with firm mineral and citric underpinning. Big, rich and built to last, but definitely tastable today. Sound acids extend the youthfully mentholated finish."

2007 Chablis Mont de Milieu, Fevre (pre-arrival), 750 ml - 33.99

90-92 points Tanzer: "Very pale, green-tinged color. Highly aromatic nose combines lime, white pepper, minerals and spices. Dense, full and rich but with its impression of fullness leavened by lovely harmonious acidity. Finishes saline, classically dry and long, with firm acidity but no hard edges. Very concentrated wine, from a crop level of just 30 hectoliters per hectare, according to Seguier."

2007 Chablis Bougros, Fevre (pre-arrival), 750 ml - 49.99

92 points Tanzer: "Pale, green-tinged yellow. Lime peel and metallic minerality on the nose. Juicy, citric and firmly built, with strong crushed stone and oyster minerality contributing to the impression of sharp definition. Richer than the Vaulorent but not quite as complex as that wine. Finishes with lovely grip and length though."

2007 Chablis Fourchaume, Fevre (pre-arrival), 750 ml - 38.99

90-93 points Burghound: "A wonderfully airy, floral and lightly spiced nose layers in notes of sea breeze, algae and oyster shell, all of which can be found on the rich, full and quite serious medium plus bodied flavors that are round yet like the Mont de Milieu, retain a fine sense of detail and delineation on the tension-filled finish. Again, terrific quality and absolutely worth a look. (90-93)/2012+"

2007 Chablis Les Lys, Fevre (pre-arrival), 750 ml - 35.99

89-91 points Tanzer: "Medium yellow. Tight, high-pitched aromas of lime blossom, chalk, crushed rock and minerals. Dense, broad, rich and ripe, with a flavor of grapefruit, a tactile mouth feel and lovely energy. This really dusts the palate on the long aftertaste."

2007 Chablis Vaillons, Fevre (pre-arrival), 750 ml - 38.99

89-92 points Burghound: "This is almost as ripe as the Mont de Milieu with a fruit compote nose that displays a hint of exoticism that merges into extremely rich, full, frank and overtly powerful flavors that possess excellent volume, punch and vivacity on the exceptionally pure and driving finish. The acid backbone is firm and despite the ripeness of the fruit, this finishes quite dry and with a seductive texture. (89-92)/2012+"

2007 Chablis Clos, Fevre (pre-arrival), 750 ml - 79.99

95(+?) points Tanzer: "Bright, pale yellow-green. Compellingly aromatic nose offers lime oil, ginger and crushed rock. Sharply delineated if quite backward today, projecting great purity, intensity and energy. Compared to the Preuses this is showing less volume but more energy, with an even higher pitch to its aromas and flavors. My style of Clos! The rising finish really dances on the palate. Give this one at least five years in the cellar."

2007 Chablis Preuses, Fevre (pre-arrival), 750 ml - 69.99

94 points Tanzer: "Bright, pale yellow-green. Knockout nose combines lime, metallic minerality and powdered stone. Wonderfully concentrated Preuses, offering a compelling combination of bracing citrus and mineral flavors and outstanding richness (the former coming from the southeast-facing vines and the latter from those facing west, notes director Stephane Follin-Arbelet). Wonderfully pure wine, finishing with outstanding cut, lift and length."

2007 Chablis Vaudesir, Fevre (pre-arrival), 750 ml - 67.99

93-95 points Burghound: "(from two separate parcels of vines, the larger of which is in the heart of the ?amphitheater? from which the finest examples of Vaudésir originate). This is even more elegant than it usually is, which is saying something as there is a good argument to be made that the Fèvre Vaudésir is the current reference standard for the vineyard though I hasten to add that it?s by no means an open and shut case. A pure and almost delicate nose that is decidedly more austere than virtually any of the preceding wines opens with a classic green fruit aromatic profile brimming with Chablis character that is followed by rich, full, naturally sweet and equally powerful flavors of simply incredible purity and focus as they finish with outstanding intensity, indeed this too is borderline painful as this early stage. This is a dramatic wine yet perfectly composed with a pronounced stony quality and the backend is bone dry. Succinctly put, this is a real stunner. (93-95)/2013+"

2007 Chablis Butteaux, Raveneau (pre-arrival), 750 ml - 84.99

92 points Tanzer: "Reticent nose shows more menthol and crushed stone than fruit. Then tactile and high-pitched in the mouth, with terrific acid grip and floral lift to frame its intense flavors of crushed stone, minerals and lemon. Finishes very long and brisk, with a resounding stony quality."

2007 Chablis Forets, Raveneau (pre-arrival), 750 ml - 79.99

2007 Chablis Montmains, Raveneau (pre-arrival), 750 ml - 79.99

90 points Tanzer: "Pale green-yellow. Musky aromas of lemon, lime and minerals, lifted by a violet topnote; more precise than the Foret. Juicy and precise, offering an enticing balance of fruit sweetness, mineral energy and integrated acidity. Finishes with excellent grip."

2007 Meursault Perrieres, Coche Dury (pre-arrival), 750 ml - 599.99

95 points Tanzer: "Good pale yellow. Knockout orange and mineral nose projects an impression of force that continues onto the palate. A wonderfully silky wine of outstanding intensity and lift. This has the fine-grained texture of a grand cru, not to mention the combination of suavity and power that characterizes the best examples of Perrieres. The palate-staining finish features a whiplash of flavor. The candid Coche was quick to say that the crop level here was a healthy 52 hectoliters per hectare, but it tastes like half that. I should note that the finished wine is much more classic and vibrant than a more glyceral barrel sample I tried last year, and Coche has also upped his opinion of this beauty."

2007 Chablis Fourchaume Vignoble Vaulorent, Fevre (pre-arrival), 750 ml - 45.99

92 points Tanzer: "Pale yellow-green. Very fresh aromas of lime, powdered stone, anise and tarragon. Rich, sweet and bracing, combining excellent density and fine-grained texture with terrific cut. Most impressive today on the rising finish, which really grips and titillates the palate. Offers lovely lingering perfume. Fevre's regular Fourchaume actually comes from their 3.6-hectare plot of Vaulorent as well, but the most structured, minerally lots are reserved for this special Vaulorent bottling, with the final selection made just before the bottling."

2006 Meursault Genevrieres, Lafon (pre-arrival), 750 ml - 239.99

95-96 points Parker's WA: "The Lafon 2006 Meursault Genevreres ? all but two of its six and a half barrels from 60 year-old vines ? exudes aromas of hyacinth, honeysuckle, apple blossom, lime, and quince; exhibits a remarkable clarity and striking interplay of Chablis-like iodine and saline savor and a hint of peach kernel bitterness playing against pure ripe orchard fruit and nut oils; and finishes ravishingly floral, pure in fruit, refreshing, and utterly insistent in its diverse mineral expressions. While consuming this extraordinary wine in its youth would be no crime, I would anticipate at least a decade?s worth of further interest to emerge from bottle. The intensely floral and herbal ? and for the vintage surprisingly refreshing ? 2005 is tightly-stitched, palpable chalky, and age-worthy, reminding me slightly of a great Cotat Sancerre."

2006 Meursault Perrieres, Lafon (pre-arrival), 750 ml - 279.99

96-97 points Parker's WA: "Ripe apricot, white peach, jasmine, nut oil, fresh lime and hazelnut pour from the glass of Lafon 2006 Meursault Perrieres. Offering an amazing combination of subtly creamy richness and underlying firmness with utmost elegance and wafting floral notes, the 14 barrels? worth of this beauty from 55 year old vines represent around 60% new wood, but it?s not noticeable as such. The finishing interplay of floral, fruit, nut oil, and mineral nuances in the finish will keep you occupied for minutes at a time, and this densely layered yet lacy Meursault should merit more than a decade of attention in the bottle as well. The subtly truffle-scented, extraordinarily mineral, tartly-fruited 2005 lacks the lift, and elegance of the 2006 but is memorably-concentrated, almost severe in finish, and brimming with potential."

2006 Montrachet Magnum, Bouchard, 1.5 L - 899.00

97 points Burghound: "While it?s almost hard to believe, here the highly perfumed nose is more complex still with a superb range of floral, orchard fruit, spice, toast, roasted nut and acacia blossom aromas that complement to perfection the big, rich, concentrated and seriously intense big-bodied flavors brimming with dry extract that confers an almost chewy texture on the magnificently long finish. This is a Montrachet with both style and power yet it remains elegant, pure and is still very much of a baby. Great but note that patience is required. 97/2016+"

1973 Montrachet (3.8 cm), DRC, 750 ml - 3499.00

100 points Parker in The Hedonist's Gazette (from the same batch as the bottle Parker tasted): "A dinner with good friends included one of the most remarkable white wines I have ever tasted, a pristine, still youthful and fresh bottle of 1973 DRC Montrachet. Still possessing wonderful acidity, magnificent flavor concentration, and a light gold color, this wine (which came from a top-notch vintage for white rather than red Burgundy) has aged marvelously well. Seemingly younger than many more recent vintages, this bottle came from a cold, private cellar. It was packaged in the old, deep green-colored bottle that the DRC changed a few years later."

2006 Corton Charlemagne 6 Liter, Bouchard, 6 L - 1399.00

96 points Burghound: "A reserved, indeed even reluctant nose of fresh and stony green fruit and citrus aromas that offer real depth leads to precise, minerally and exceptionally powerful full-bodied flavors that possess huge amounts of dry extract on the hugely long finish. This is still sorting itself out but the quality of the raw materials is impeccable and it possesses impressive potential, which will require at least a decade to realize. One of the finest examples from this appellation in the 2006 vintage. 96/2016+"

2007 Chablis Bougros Cotes de Bouguerots, Fevre (pre-arrival), 750 ml - 67.99

94(+?) points Tanzer: "Green-tinged yellow. Steely aromas of lime, ginger, crushed stone and menthol. Densely packed, rocky and closed but not at all hard, with a tactile, saline texture and impressive volume for the year. This spicy, stony grand cru really spreads out to saturate the palate on the back end."

2007 Chablis Preuses, Billaud Simon (pre-arrival), 750 ml - 69.99

92-95 points Burghound: "As it almost always is, here the nose is more elegant and refined with lemon, spice, saline and yellow fruit notes, all of which are reflected by the pure, detailed and impressively delineated flavors brimming with that oyster shell character that makes Chablis unique, all wrapped into a long, cool and energetic finish brimming with minerality. In short, a generous yet chiseled wine."

2007 Chablis Vaudesir, Billaud Simon (pre-arrival), 750 ml - 68.99

93-95 points Burghound: "A moderately riper yet extremely tight nose of iodine, salt and intense sea shore aromas complement to perfection the rich, full and powerful flavors that are a big step up in weight and power as they etch themselves into the palate on the broad-shouldered and muscular finish. This isn't a wine of finesse but as Chablis goes, this is a bruiser of superb intensity that embodies the phrase "jus de pierre" (rock juice)."

2008 Chablis Beauroy, Fevre (pre-arrival), 750 ml - 29.99

88-91 points Burghound: "The coolness of the 2008 vintage definitely shows with this wine, which is typically ripe to the point of tropicality but that is not the case here. The nose displays more obvious Chablis character than is typical with rich, round and generous medium-bodied flavors that are also finer than usual, all wrapped in a lingering if not overly complex finish. A generous wine but one of quality. (88-91)/2012+"

2008 Chablis Fourchaume Vaulorent Magnum, Fevre (pre-arrival), 1.5 L - 89.99

92-95 points Burghound: "(from an impressive 3.63 ha parcel out of only 17 ha and most of it is hard by Les Preuses. Séguier calls this their ?baby grand cru? as specific barrels are selected for vine age, concentration and power). This is one of those wines where you can sense the sheer depth of material simply based on the nose as the very dense fruit displays additional hints of stone, tidal pool, algae, oyster shell and a mix of green fruit and white flower aromas that give way to concentrated, serious and rich flavors that are actually quite fine before culminating in an explosively long and palate staining finish. A terrific wine that could easily pass for a grand cru. (92-95)/2014+"

2008 Chablis Grenouille, Fevre (pre-arrival), 750 ml - 59.99

91-94 points Burghound: "(from vines that abut Vaudésir; purchased grapes where the harvest and vinification was done by the Fèvre team). This is also quite densely fruited with lovely purity yet somewhat surprisingly, there is less elegance to the blend of floral, stone and green and yellow orchard fruit aromas that marry into round, delicious and generous medium full flavors that are impressively complex and persistent. As good as this is, and it is indeed excellent, it can?t match the Vaulorent for overall depth of material. (91-94)/2014+"

This delivers grand cru quality. (92-94)/2014+"

93-95 points Burghound: "(from two parcels of vines that total 2.55 ha, or 22% of the entire appellation). This would be almost impossible to miss the origins as the marine influence on the pungently mineral, airy and superbly elegant nose is extremely strong with Chablis character to burn. The seductive middle weight flavors brim with dry extract, which does a perfect job of buffering the structural elements on the mouth coating and sappy finish that seems to go on and on.

2007 Meursault Charmes, Lafon (pre-arrival), 750 ml - 169.99

93 points Tanzer: "Restrained nose hints at candied citrus peel, flowers, vanilla and smoky lees. On the palate, lovely sweetness is perfectly buffered by ripe acidity, but this is very backward and minerally wine-more Perrieres-like than most other growers' Perrieres. Taut and uncompromising, and less showy than the Genevrieres."

2008 Chablis Valmur, Fevre (pre-arrival), 750 ml - 59.99

93-96 points Burghound: "(from a parcel of vines that is close to Vaudésir and extends all the way from Grenouilles to the tree line at the top of the hill). The reflections are the classic light gold-green hues of a fine Chablis. The barest touch of oak highlights the green fruit, menthol, saline and iodine aromas that precede the extremely stony, concentrated and driving flavors that are also blessed with ample amounts of dry extract that provides a much needed balancing element to the ripe acid backbone on the chalky and sappy finish. When Valmur is really good, it rivals Les Clos for the best grand cru in Chablis and this 2008 is really good. (93-96)/2015+"

92-95 points Burghound: "A classic Chablis nose of mineral reduction, oyster shell and green fruit aromas merges into sappy, rich and powerful flavors that possess more refinement than usual on the long, sappy and beautifully detailed finish. Also very solid. (89-92)/2013+"

2008 Chablis Fourchaume Vaulorent, Fevre (pre-arrival), 750 ml - 45.99

2008 Chablis Fourchaume, Fevre (pre-arrival), 750 ml - 36.99

91-93 points Burghound: "(from Vaulorent). This is almost as aromatically complex but the profile is completely different as here the nose runs away from the floral and more toward green fruit and minerality that is classic Chablis in character and this character is reflected by the rich and full-bodied flavors that are serious and seem to ooze minerality on the saline and wonderfully intense finish.
89-91 points Burghound: "(a domaine wine from Forêt, Butteaux and Montmains proper in roughly equal amounts). Here the nose is similar yet notably more complex with buckets of mineral reduction adding nuance to the lightly spiced floral aromas that complement the sappy, detailed and graceful middle weight flavors that ooze Chablis character on the attractively lingering finish. A lovely and understated wine of finesse. (89-91)/2012+"

2008 Chablis Vaudesir, Fevre (pre-arrival), 750 ml - 59.99

93-95 points Burghound: "(from two separate parcels of vines, the larger of which is in the heart of the ?amphitheater? from which the finest examples of Vaudésir originate). Extremely discreet notes of wood set off the ripest nose among these grands crus in 2008 with orchard fruit and pure citrus aromas leading to impressively precise big-bodied and powerful flavors brimming with dry extract and more minerality than usual on the refined, intense and hugely long finish. A wine of class and grace but with no lack of muscle. (93-95)/2015+"

2007 Chevalier Montrachet 1/2, Bouchard (pre-arrival), 375 ml - 99.99

94 points Burghound: "A discreet touch of oak highlights the naturally spicy floral and hightoned orchard and green fruit aromas before giving way to textured, sappy and almost painfully intense full-bodied flavors brimming with both dry extract and ample minerality on the hugely long and impeccably balanced finish. This is a really lovely wine that possesses everything it needs to deliver a first-rate drinking experience with a decade of cellar time. As good as this is, and it is very impressive, it?s not necessarily superior to the magnificent Perrières though it may require a bit more bottle age to arrive at its peak. 94/2017+"

2007 Montrachet, Bouchard (pre-arrival), 750 ml - 450.00

97 points Burghound: "While not more elegant than the Cabotte, this is quite a bit more complex with a stunning range of fruit, citrus, floral and spice aromas that complement to perfection the very rich, full and strikingly concentrated broad-scaled flavors that are supported by plenty of dry extract that buffers a firm core of ripe acidity on the beautifully intense and flat out incredibly lingering finish. What really impresses me about the ?07 though is that despite the impressive heft, the finish remains laser-like in its focus. A ?wow? wine in every sense except for one, which is that this is not an imposing or massive vintage for this wine. Otherwise, this is sensational, especially in terms of its impeccable balance. 97/2019+"

2007 Chablis Valmur Magnum, Fevre (pre-arrival), 1.5 L - 145.00

93-96 points Burghound: "An extremely deft dash of wood is barely noticeable and merges seamlessly with highly complex aromas of limestone, lemon, oyster shell, sea breeze and white flowers. This is a big, powerful and incredibly precise wine with magnificent flavor authority and seemingly endless reserves of sappy extract. Tightly wound and still very youthful but the extract buffers the intense acidity and completely coats and stains the palate on the finish that is so intense that I had to ask for a short recess before we continued. In short, this is an absolute knock-out and if you admire Valmur as an appellation as much as I do, this is one 2007 you won?t want to miss ? just be prepared to have some patience.
92(+?) Tanzer: "Pale yellow. Utterly seductive aromas and flavors of white peach, mandarin orange zest, ginger and sexy spices, plus a whiff of mocha; calls to mind an off-dry Alsace riesling with a touch of gewurztraminer. Silky on entry, then surprisingly tight and reserved in the middle palate despite its seamless texture. Quite classic on the long finish, which is all about citrus zest and crushed stone."
